A short film for the Encore Theatre Company & the School of Health & Social Care, LSBU
In 2017 there was a project helping students to think about the Arts in Nursing, which culminated in a conference at London South Bank University. One of the students involved, Bethany Campbell (now a qualified nurse) wrote some short pieces of narrative. One of these – The Train to Svalbard – was based on her experiences of working with people who had recently been diagnosed with dementia. She allowed the Encore Theatre Company to take this text and interpret it for a short film.
Nirmala Martis, together with the company, worked on how to use the original text for a short film. The film will now be used within the School of Health and Social Care at LSBU.
